The uncoated insulation boards are water resistant and are made of extruded polystyrene.
The board is designed for use under a screed coating. Special care must be taken to avoid contact between the electrical floor heating system and the insulating board, usually by means of a thin layer of adhesive or by installing a metal mesh on which the heating cables are attached.
